Old School Fun for Fathers Day at Killruddery Gardens, Sunday 17th June

Arcadia FestivalThis Father’s Day, we a celebrate times gone by with a day of traditional games and a special vintage car rally. Take a trip down memory lane and introduce your children to the games you loved as a child. To complete this perfect day of nostalgia the Garden of Ireland Vintage Car Club will put on a display that will delight the entire family. The Garden will be divided into several sections, each dedicated to a different fun activity Races of all descriptions, Tug of War, Croquet and much more!

The entrance for this event is €10 per adult, €5 per child, €25 for a family ticket and children under 5 are free. Friends of Killruddery Members receive a 20% discount.

There will be oodles of activities & performances for children dotted across the festival! Alongside all the fabulous acts, workshops & activities, we will also have Daily Kiddies Yoga, Storytelling, Arts & Crafts, Mask making, Jewellery making, Circus skills, a Kids Disco & lots more!

Soul Kids will be open from 10am-7pm on Saturday & from 10am-7pm on Sunday.

Please note: We ask all parents to register their little ones online so we can be well prepared. Restrictions apply to certain workshops.

The Pirates Village at Dundrum Town Centre

Pirates Village is coming to Dundrum Town Centre from 15th June to 2nd September.  The “pop-up” play-zone consists of themed, custom-made inflatable games and is suitable from toddlers up to 14 year olds!

Fun activities to keep your merry band of pirates entertained and physically active for an hour-long session, include a ship-wrecked Galleon, Mermaid slide, Pirates’ assault course, palm island and toddler areas.

While the children are ‘hoisting the mainsail’, parents can relax in the café area with a coffee and a perfect view of everything that’s going on.

Located in the Pembroke District of Dundrum Town Centre, and covered by a marquee roof, the event is open from 11am to 7pm daily. Sessions run hourly, on the hour.€5 per child. Adults go free

Toddlers can learn the story of the magic turtle as he travels from tropical seas to Irish waters in search of jellyfish. Guided by artist John Kavanagh, our youngest artists will explore a sensory world of colour, light and sound and will make a simple artwork of an underwater creature to take home.

Tickets €10/€8 concessions (price per child, includes access to the Awakening Curiosity exhibition. Each child must be accompanied by an adult, adults are free of charge.)

Family Fun day on Sunday 17th June 14:00 PM: If you’re up for a laugh and making a bit of an eejit of yourself, then this is for you.  A family fun event (we know it’s Father’s Day that day) made up races, tug-of-war, giant jenga and more. Location : Phoenix Park

Summer Nature Walk on Sat 23rdJune 15:00 – 05:00 PM: Join us for a gentle stroll through the park and along the river to see and learn about the wildlife living here. Location : Kilbogget Park; meet in the car park on Churchview Road.

Owls.ieNature Tots on Sunday 24rd June (3-5 years old) 09:00 – 10:00 AM:  A great opportunity for your little ones to interact with and learn about nature.  Come along to the OWLS activity site in Turvey Park where we’ll play games, follow the blindfold trail and use our sense to learn about our surroundings. Location : Turvey Park, Donabate, Co. Dublin

Summer Nature Walk, Sunday 24th June  15:00 – 16:30 PM:  The first of a series of nature walks focused on discovering nature in various parks and natural areas around Dublin. We’re starting in Kilbogget Park.  Join us for a stroll around the park and along the river to see and learn about the wildlife (butterflies, insects, herons, kingfishers, dippers etc.) living here.Location : Kilbogget Park; meet in the car park on Churchview Road.
